Splash screen in Android

I've recently purchased a Gideros licence so no longer have the Gideros splash screen. The app I'm working on takes a little while to load all of its files and assets, so I now have a black screen while that is happening which makes it look a bit like nothing is going on. Is there any way to show my own splash screen while the files and assets load?

@ar2rsawseen, a refund would be one way! It's just a static image that I'm trying to do but so far with no real success.

@mefisto Thanks for the link - I'll take a look.

For info, I'm using scenemanager in the app and have tried making a simple scene for the splash screen, but where I get stuck is in getting that screen to load and show before the other files are loaded, so I still get quite a lot of black screen to look at until the app appears.

@petec, yes scene manager also needs a GL view to load, so its not really an option.

@petec maybe you can do this:

1. First only load your "loading" image or logo and put it on the stage.
2. Wait for 1 enter frame event
3. Load all of your other assets

@ar2rsawseen I think you've decompiled the Lua files of Mashballs and looked at their implementation. You won't be able to do this anymore :P

Sorry if this is a simple question, but I've only let everything load by itself before, so I'm not sure how I stop things from loading while I wait for an enter frame event. Do I have to exclude lua files from execution? If so, how do I then get them to execute when I'm ready for them?

Ah, 'require' seems to call up the excluded files. Getting warmer....
